This year, I’m starting the Southern Hemisphere season much later, arriving in Chile at the end of August. The main reason for this? To focus on physical training in Rio de Janeiro and witness the biggest sporting event on the planet in the marvelous city! The Rio 2016 Olympic Games!
I had the honor of participating in the Olympic torch relay in Saquarema, it was such a great experience!
It was an amazing to see Rio de Janeiro hosting the Olympic Games. I’m very proud of the organization and, of course, of Team Brazil, who did a great job. It was impressive to see firsthand the impact of hosting the Olympic Games, both on the city’s development and on the local community’s participation.
Despite all the controversy, the Rio 2016 Games were a success. Much needs to improve, both in our politics and in society, which is very unequal. But I believe the Games were a very positive thing for our country, and the population is increasingly engaged.
To share a bit of my experience at the Olympic Games, there’s nothing better than leaving you with a photo gallery!
